Howdy!

Welcome to TrevorWalshArt V2. For anyone not familiar with my art and my original shop, I started selling art prints in a local Arts, Crafts and Design shop called Anthology and then progressed to setting up my first online TrevorWalshArt shop on Etsy for the experience….and it turned out to be a very good experience indeed! I have sold prints to many very happy customers as can be seen HERE.

Having gained confidence an experience, I wanted to take it to the next level and open my own official TrevorWalshArt online shop. This new shop will allow me to expand the range of quality products I can provide by partnering with Print On Demand (POD) services (Gelato and Printful). This also frees up a lot of time to focus on creating new designs and illustrations for you….which is the fun part really 🙂

If you are new to the site and shop and are a bit cautious (as you should be), please check out my Positive Feedback on my Etsy shop and TrustPilot and also send me a message to say hello either though my Contacts Form or on my social channels and I will be happy to help.

‘TrevorWalshArt’ aims to offer a collection of posters, wall art and gifts that are slightly different and have a bit of ‘POP’. This venture has been a long time coming and started in June 2022 with my first print items for a local shop. This is the next gen of the ‘plan’. I am based in the heart of Ireland (The midlands of  Co. Laois) and my art is inspired mostly by my surroundings and Irish culture to name but a few.

Art has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From getting in trouble for drawing dinosaurs and space (and space dinosaurs) under my desk in class when I should have been listening….but no regrets 8)

I trained in computer animation after leaving secondary school and worked in the computer games industry (PS1 era) and then in digital visualisation. However in 2010 I retrained and transitioned in the IT sector where I am currently. But I have never lost my passion for art and I have continued to draw and sketch for fun and also create caricatures and illustrations for family and friends if requested or as presents.

I created some designs that were inspired by the Irish sport ‘hurling’. This game has been a part of my life since I was old enough to walk and also a massive part of my family and also my community. I wanted to create illustrations inspired by parts of the game that anyone involved in the sport or the GAA will instantly recognise and understand whilst also making them look ‘cool’. Therefore colour is a very important part of the designs. The game of hurling and the GAA is very colourful from the equipment and the jerseys to the actual people themselves. I wanted to reflect that in my designs.

It is not all about the GAA and I am also inspired by other aspects of Ireland which I hope to create designs from. I got great feedback from people who say my creations and I was encouraged to create prints for sale. My first sales were made through a local Irish Art, Craft and Design shop called ‘Anthology’ (anthology.ie) who supported and stock my prints. This gave me the confidence to open my own Etsy shop to allow me to interact with the customer directly. It has been a lot of fun setting it up and also updating my social and website to get to this point. But well worth it!

I hope you see a design that you like!
