Hurling is one Ireland’s national sports and indigenous to the country. The ‘sliotar’ (the ball) is controlled by the ‘hurley’ which is sculpted from the root of the ash tree (Ash Colour Clash). To anyone who has not seen this game before, the hurley can resemble a large wooden spoon as was described to me in the past 😊
